As a general outline, when the OneClick team takes on a website project, we adopt an integrated approach from an analysis perspective. To facilitate this process, we engage with the client early in the process to establish the following:
- Website Objectives:
a) What are the key objectives and how do they fit with the overall marketing or strategic plan?
b) The success of the website is measured against these objectives.
- Website Strategy:
a) How will the website meet the objectives?
- Website Branding:
a) How will the website fit with the existing branding?
- Target Audience:
a) Who does the website address?
b) Are there more than one group of users?
c) What are their expectations of your website?
- Design Considerations:
a) What do you like and dislike on a website?
b) Provide a list of your favorite websites.
- Website Content:
a) What information is going to appear on the website and who is responsible for providing it?
b) Is it new content, in which case does it need to be professionally copy written?
- Content Management:
a) How often does the content of your website change?
b) Do you need a facility to update the content yourselves?
c) Who in your organisation will be responsible for website content management?
- Functionality:
a) Is there any specific functionality or features that your website must contain, for example: search, chat/discussions, email newsletter, shopping cart, security or data capture, etc.?
- Marketing:
a) How are you going to generate traffic to the website?
- Analysis and Reporting
a) What are your key measures of success or accountability going to be?
- Resources:
a) What are your self management capabilities? Do people internally or externally need to provide information and manage the project?
- Website Hosting:
a) Where is your current website hosted?
b) Are you happy with the service from this host?
