Since the selection of OneClick by ACDEMG, we have worked closely together following our website development methodology to deliver a project that we are all extremely proud of. This included developing online strategy, scoping the technology requirements, designing the database structure, then finally developing the website and the associated online systems.
Says Jason from OneClick “What has excited us most about this project was the fact that we were able to use internet technology for social benefit".
One of the key features of the project is the Emergency Status page which is a unique source of up to date information about the current situation in the Auckland area. This is something which has not been done before and it is rewarding to be involved in something that is potentially of great benefit to all Aucklanders.
Another key feature is the secure Emergency Managers Section which includes: A Detailed Contact Database, Activity Calendar, Document library and the ability for each emergency region to publish information about the situation in there area.
Jason adds “During the project we’ve built a strong partnership with Russell Croker and Kiri Maxwell and the team from ACDEMG. The emergency management experience and insight they shared with us and the trust they placed in OneClick, gave us the ability to help them develop a website that makes best use of technology to meet their objective of building better community resilience in the greater Auckland region".
OneClick have provided Russell, Kiri and the team at 'AREMO' the tools they need to manage this website on their own. They can change anything on the website using OneClick's comprehensive back-end administration tool called Cosmos. This includes changing the content and images, a media release publication and archiving facility, and most importantly, the ability to update the civil defence status and send out email warnings to subscribers.
This project highlights our key customer service ethos. "Quality in a service or product is not what you put into it. It is what the client or customer gets out of it."
