Heritage Weddings

The Heritage Hotels Group is very proud of the beautiful wedding venues that the various properties offer and wanted to create a microsite to showcase this service. The objective of the Heritage Hotels Weddings microsite was to motivate engaged couples towards deciding to have their wedding at a Heritage Hotel and to build a value relationship with other wedding suppliers so that they act as Heritage Hotel’s agent in the market.

The key role of the website is to be a comprehensive online brochure that demonstrates not only the available Heritage Hotel wedding venues (in terms of physical location) but also the great variety of weddings that can be arranged at each hotel. For example the website shows people that a hotel wedding in Auckland is not limited to a ballroom setting. The CityLife Auckland can offer an intimate and sophisticated wedding from a penthouse suite. In this way, a couple looking for a small wedding venue that may have dismissed the Heritage Auckland’s Grand Tearoom as a potential venue might reconsider the Heritage based on the option of a wedding in the penthouse suite.

So instead of simply being a list of hotels where one can have a wedding, the website is also an inspiration source for the engaged couple.

The website strongly portrays the message that the Heritage Hotels are experts in wedding planning to the extent that almost anything is possible in terms of creating a dream wedding. The target audience should be encouraged to contact the hotel to discuss their unique needs.

The microsite is built with a full content administration system for the hotel management and where they can:

  • Add, update or delete any text or images
  • Associate Hotel properties with wedding types so if a hotel adds a new venue, they can promote that on the microsite
  • Control the photo galleries for each hotel’s venues

The system was launched in Autumn 2010 and will be heavily used for the upcoming Summer Wedding season.
