Western Springs Speedway

Western Springs Speedway appointed OneClick to re-develop their public facing website for the 2010/11 season. The team at OneClick really enjoyed working on this project due to its iconic Auckland status and high octane motorsport content.

The Western Springs Speedway has been part of Auckland’s heritage since the stadium was first used for motorcycle racing in 1929. The Stadium was later used for Midget Car racing in December 1937 and the first full Speedway season started in January 1938.

Since the Launch of the new site in November 2010 www.springsspeedway.com has received In excess of 30,000 visits, 473 visitors in the first twenty four hours alone.

The close integration with Social media has seen a constantly building Facebook fan base of 1,715 people and 35,074 Video views on YouTube.

Key features of the Western Springs Speedway website are:

  • ‘Next Race’ Countdown system with Race status indicator
  • Springs Speedway newsletter subscription and email marketing tools

  • Full SEO implementation including:
    • SEO Keyword Strategy
    • Onsite optimization such as URL and page sculpting to improve how Google finds paths through out site
    • Site-wide SEO footer

With the success of the Western Springs Speedway project OneClick were again appointed to work on another project closely linked to Western Springs Speedway, BSL Racing.

BSL Racing is a leader in Australasia for speedway chassis manufacturing and parts.
