FITEC
FITEC is the industry training organisation (ITO) for the forest industries. FITEC helps more than 10,000 people each year gain the knowledge and skills that they need for productive and rewarding careers. They offer nationally recognised qualifications for the forestry, wood manufacturing, furniture, biosecurity and credit management industries.
In May 2009 they launched their resource rich new website at www.fitec.org.nz. It contains comprehensive information about Forest Industry training including Latest News and Upcoming Events which are both available as RSS web feeds for industry participants to subscribe to.
Photographs from Graduation Events and Awards Ceremonies are available to view and order from the online Photo Gallery. Full details about national qualifications and Modern Apprentice Programmes can be accessed via the web services databases.
The website is powered by OneClick's Content Management System called COSMOS which allows FITEC marketing staff to update any of the images or content themselves.
A powerful feature of COSMOS if the ability to administer more than one website project from the system. This has allowed FITEC to develop and rollout their new Corporate website as well as their new Education website very quickly and cost effectively.
