Melanoma Foundation

The Melanoma Foundation of New Zealand is a non-profit organisation devoted to issues relating to melanoma in New Zealand whose goals are to:

  • Improve the outcome for people with melanoma
  • Increase awareness and education of melanoma in New Zealand
  • Improve communication between professionals working in areas related to melanoma

Further to the launch of the new-look Melanoma Foundation website in November 2008, and as part of our ongoing commitment to charity OneClick has recently overhauled the Melanoma Foundation website to include our full backend Content Management System, COSMOS. The new website launched on Friday 23rd July and it includes a microsite for the Melanoma Network (MelNet) – the group of medical professionals working together to reduce the incidence and impact of melanoma in New Zealand.

The website is now independently managed by Heather Hyland, the Executive Director of The Foundation

Key features of the website system built for The Foundation are:

  • Full content management including the ability to add and remove website pages, add or edit content and images, add and archive news stories and upload PDF documents.
  • Secure online donation facility
  • Registration area for MelNet professionals
  • Backend administration of MelNet registrations including password management
  • Secure information sharing area for registered MelNet professionals with bulletin boad, directory of members and confidential clinical trials and research details

Each year in New Zealand about 1800 people are diagnosed with melanoma. Support the Melanoma Foundation by visiting the website and making a small donation.
