Tegal Web & Txt Campaign

OneClick was tasked to create and build an integrated website and TXT competition system. We designed an online system that not only validated codes from both TXT and web entries, but also consolidated all entries into one database that could easily be viewed and monitored throughout the campaign directly by the client.

The web-based administration system was developed with online troubleshooting; if any user generated an error it was easily tracked and resolved without any disruption to the user. This lowered the number of related calls to 5 queries in a promotion that generated more than 10,000 entries.

Key elements of the Tegel web and text campaign were:

  • Web component to enable users to enter online as well as via a text shortcode (4 digits),
  • Text and web integration to ensure all entries are filed in a single database for ease of reporting and tracking,
  • This included the option to validate the codes to ensure that each entry was legitimate,
  • Ability to integrate users into the wider Tegel database if they wished,

In the 2006 competition, there was a 14% redemption rate (normal redemption is approx 1-2%).
