Telecom 'Wired' Intranet

OneClick assisted Telecom New Zealand in redeveloping a large section of their intranet called ‘Wired’ as part of an overall brand and communication revamp.

OneClick initially worked with Telecom to establish the project brief. Following this, we scoped the full project covering:

  • Business processes
  • Communication strategy
  • Technical requirements
  • Creative concepts
  • Project planning and implementation

Following the approval of the scope, OneClick developed the ‘Wired’ intranet.

Key features of the Wired intranet redevelopment were:

  • Complete audit and analysis of the existing intranet,
  • Delineation of target audiences, intranet objectives and key information requirements,
  • Branding and design of the intranet, aligned to Telecom's intranet content management system guidelines and specifications,
  • Usability testing through different navigation and design options,
  • Introduction of a help feature called "Jack Point", similar to the Microsoft help character “Clippy”,
  • Ensuring that the ‘Wired’ intranet look and feel reflected the newly developed ‘Wired’ marketing look and feel,
  • Compile the corporate “killer apps” intranet applications to be used by staff for all their business needs.
